Gentrol is an insect growth regulator, meaning it doesn't kill roaches directly—it prevents them from reproducing. Gentrol is the only IGR labeled for use as a spot and crack and crevice treatment in all areas of food handling establishments. Gentrol provides protection for up to six months and is most effective when used with your roach baits such as Advance Roach Bait, Maxforce Roach Bait and others.
Gentrol reaches deep into wall cavities, cracks and crevices, reaching the breeding cockroaches that other treatments miss. Hydroprene, the active ingredient, is the man-made equivalent of cockroaches' juvenile hormone. Once exposed, pre-adult cockroaches become sterile adults, incapable of creating future infestations. Cockroaches and stored product pests encounter Hydroprene the same way they encounter insecticides—traveling on or rubbing against a treated surface. Gentrol spreads out from its point of application, creating a much larger treated surface than conventional insecticides—including hard-to-reach areas like wall voids.
Gentrol concentrate tank mixes with water. Gentrol is an excellent choice for control of small roaches, many species of which are now resistant to conventional pesticides. Gentrol is also labeled for stored product pests, and bed bugs.
