MotherEarth 2% Py has been formulated with a botanical ingredient, pyrethrin, this is a proven active ingredient usually added to other products for a better kill. Whitmire takes the pyrethrins and does not add a synergist. MotherEarth 2% Py is produced by Whitmire Micro-Gen, using their own aerosol technology. MotherEarth 2% Py is great for Crack & Crevice, spot and space treatments. The label on MotherEarth2% PY covers a wide range of insect pests. Some of the pests on the label are ants, bedbugs, bees, booklice, centipedes, clothes moths, cluster flies, cockroaches, fleas, fruit flies, house flies, silverfish, spiders, ticks, wasps and other crawling and flying insects.
The botanical active ingredient, pyrethrins, is derived from chrysanthemum flowers. Pyrethrum has been used for thousands of years to kill and control a wide range of pests. In addition to its quick killing power, it also flushes insects from their hiding places to highlight problem areas.
